With New Jersey electing to legalize sports betting in June 2018, CCGNJ knew they had to ramp up their efforts, so they turned to us, as they have for the previous four years. Gambling has also risen in recent years thanks to the increased accessibility and opportunity through mobile and online platforms. Therefore, it’s crucial that CCGNJ continuously seek new ways to combat gambling disorders by finding new ways to reach potential problem gamblers.
Our mission was to continue increasing CCGNJ’s online visibility to reach disordered gamblers and their families in order to provide them with educational tools and resources, particularly during the peak gambling months January – March, by driving traffic to the “Find a Help Meeting” page. This page allows problem gamblers to find the nearest recovery resources to strengthen the chance that individuals seek help immediately.
After brainstorming new ways to reach problem gamblers, our team launched a search advertising campaign, as well as a social media campaign (a first for CCGNJ) to connect our client with their target audience at any gambling micro-moment when those individuals might need the support, treatment and hope that 800-GAMBLER is proud to offer.
We employed Facebook Dynamic Ads and Pin Drops to target the leading casinos, racetracks, and theaters throughout New Jersey between December 2018 and March 2019 to connect CCGNJ with disordered gamblers in the state’s most at-risk gambling locations with “call now” CTAs and remarketing. 1SEO took every opportunity throughout this campaign to provide educational material via videos and infographics to inform the gambling community where and why one could find support, treatment and hope for disordered gambling.
