Is there anything more American than opening day baseball? The warmth of golden springtime sunshine on your skin, especially after the coldest winter in decades. The smell of freshly manicured grass mixed with hot dogs and cotton candy. The taste of your first $9 ballpark beer of the season. 1SEO.com Digital Agency was lucky enough to partake in all of these activities this past Monday when we attended a Phillies Networking and Game Event.
The staff had to battle tremendous traffic, preposterous parking and crazy crowds of phrantic Phillies phans. Once our team was able to figure out the chaos that is opening day, we were able to settle into a very well put together networking event. bumping shoulders and sharing cold ones with over 100 other area business professionals was a great way to spend a Monday afternoon; an even better way was attending the actual game.
When attending a baseball game, one can only really hope for three things: Nice weather, Good seats, and a Home Team win. Two outta three ain’t bad. The weather was near perfection, warm sunshine and temps in the high 70’s, with a breeze to make sure you were never too hot. The seats were some of the best in the house, seating up front in left center mere feet from where the home runs kept landing. The game…well, us Phillies Phans may be in for a long summer.
